class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>La Seu<\/strong> es sin duda, junto con el <em>Castell<\/em>, el edificio m\u00e1s emblem\u00e1tico de la ciudad de X\u00e0tiva y los dos son visibles desde cualquier punto de los alrededores. La construcci\u00f3n de la <strong>Colegiata Bas\u00edlica de Santa Mar\u00eda<\/strong> se inici\u00f3 a finales del siglo XVI sobre el solar de una antigua mezquita y se demor\u00f3 m\u00e1s de cuatro siglos, manteni\u00e9ndose actualmente inacabada. Conocida popularmente como <em>La Seu de X\u00e0tiva<\/em>, a pesar de que la ciudad no ha visto satisfecha su aspiraci\u00f3n de convertirse en sede episcopal, su planta es de cruz latina con crucero acentuado y girola. El conjunto presenta un estilo y dimensiones propias de las grandes catedrales g\u00f3ticas, resaltando su influencia En esta colecci\u00f3n destaca una cruz procesional de finales del siglo XIV realizada en plata, as\u00ed como un c\u00e1liz de oro regalado por Calixto III. Tambi\u00e9n la Custodia Mayor, una pieza de orfebrer\u00eda del g\u00f3tico flam\u00edgero datada en el siglo XV. Fue fundado por Jaume I en 1244 y representa la fusi\u00f3n de la \u00faltima arquitectura <strong>g\u00f3tica<\/strong> con los primeros ensayos <strong>renacentistas<\/strong>. Durante m\u00e1s de cinco siglos se ha ocupado de la salud de los setabenses.<\/p>\n<p>En el incendio de 1707 el edificio qued\u00f3 especialmente da\u00f1ado, aunque fue reconstruido a principios del siglo XVIII, decor\u00e1ndose sus salas con arrimaderos&nbsp;de azulejos de la Real F\u00e1brica de Val\u00e8ncia. Gracias a la exposici\u00f3n La Luz de las Im\u00e1genes, en 2006, se restaur\u00f3 la capilla como centro de recepci\u00f3n de visitantes, siendo actualmente sede del <strong>espacio
