class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La casa de la ense\u00f1anza se ha remodelado para acoger las nuevas salas del Museo de Bellas Artes. Cuenta con una de las colecciones pict\u00f3ricas p\u00fablicas m\u00e1s importantes de la Comunidad Valenciana, con obras de Ribera, Goya, Vicent L\u00f3pez, Santiago Rusi\u00f1ol, Benlliure y Antoni Mir\u00f3, entre muchos otros. Expone tambi\u00e9n destacadas piezas escult\u00f3ricas y de picapedrero. Hay que destacar el ic\u00f3nico retrato de Felipe V, invertido cabeza abajo, s\u00edmbolo de venganza por haber ordenado el incendio de X\u00e0tiva en 1707. Adem\u00e1s de su colecci\u00f3n permanente, este museo que nace con vocaci\u00f3n de dinamismo exhibe regularmente exposiciones pintor y grabador en Italia, principalmente N\u00e1poles, Josep de Ribera fue un influyente pintor barroco que ocupa un lugar destacado en el Museo. La capilla, siglos despu\u00e9s, fue destruida. Testigo de todo ello son los bellos restos que conserva el Museo, entre los cuales destaca la clave de b\u00f3veda y la m\u00e9nsula del \u00e1ngel, que sostiene el escudo de la notable familia del El primer miembro de la dinast\u00eda de los borbones en Espa\u00f1a orden\u00f3, una vez vencida por la fuerza de las armas en 1707, que X\u00e0tiva fuera incendiada y arrasada y sus habitantes desterrados. Como acto de venganza simb\u00f3lica, y de memoria, a mediados del siglo XX el conservador municipal del museo decidi\u00f3 colocar el cuadro boca colecci\u00f3n pict\u00f3rica municipal. \u00c9sta abarca desde el g\u00f3tico del siglo XVI hasta obras de arte contempor\u00e1neo. Destaca la presencia del barroco, con los cuadros de Josep de Ribera, y el conjunto de obras coet\u00e1neas cedidas por el Museo del Prado, en atenci\u00f3n a la especial relaci\u00f3n de Ribera con la ciudad de X\u00e0tiva. Aqu\u00ed brillan con luz propia los lienzos de grandes maestros como Luca Giordano, Carducho, Palomino, Juan Bautista del Mazo, as\u00ed como del taller o de la escuela de Teniers, Brueghel, Rembrandt, Murillo y Vel\u00e1zquez. Es necesario tambi\u00e9n destacar los retratos de reyes que presid\u00edan bajo dosel la Casa de la Ciudad, entre los que resalta el de Fernando VII obra de Vicente L\u00f3pez, autor tambi\u00e9n de una Santa Cena excepcional. Expone obras de Benlliure, Rusi\u00f1ol, P\u00e9rez Contel y de otros artistas contempor\u00e1neos, como Vento, Hern\u00e1ndez Quero y los valencianos Manuel Boix, Artur Heras, Enric Solbes, Antoni Mir\u00f3 y Adri\u00e0 Pina. Cuenta tambi\u00e9n con una magn\u00edfica colecci\u00f3n de grabados entre la que destaca la serie completa de Caprichos y Disparates de
