source of the <em><strong>Riu dels Sants <\/strong><\/em>(Sants river), more commonly known as the <em><strong>Riu Nou <\/strong><\/em>(Nou river). It rises very close to the municipality, passes through Canals and flows into the C\u00e0nyoles river. Two centuries ago, the famous botanist <em>Antoni J. Cavanilles<\/em> said that it was the most abundant source in the kingdom. The <em>Nou <\/em>river\u00a0draws its flow from the <em>Mass\u00eds del Caroig<\/em> and provides water by means of five irrigation channels for agricultural irrigation, to supply the many public and private washing places that existed, as well as for domestic use in many towns along la Costera.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
